This Coriander Masala Paste is a flavorsome vibrant green colored masala paste made from fresh coriander leaves, garlic, ginger, chilies and onions. This paste can be prepared in advance and frozen for later use.
It is very easy to use and many dry gravy or curry versions can be cooked with this aromatic Coriander Masala Paste.
If preparing a very large quantity then freeze in meal size portions so that you don’t have to thaw the entire Masala Paste. All you have to do is take this Masala Paste, your veggies or meat and zhoosh up with spices according to personal and regional palates.
This paste is rich in minerals and vitamins and low on calories. Hence it can be used in the preparation of weight loss recipes. Be creative and think of your next meal using this Coriander Masala Paste.
How to make Cilantro paste – Video Recipe
Ingredients:
- coriander leaves
- garlic
- ginger
- green chillies
- onion
- water for blending
Method:
Organise all ingredients.
Clean the coriander. remove dry leaves. Cut off the stem ends.
Rinse garlic, ginger, chillies and onions.
Rinse the clean coriander leaves well.
You may roughly chop the leaves, garlic, ginger, onions and chillies
Blend in a blender using water sparingly.
Put in meal size portions in separate container and freeze.
Stays good for a month in the freezer.

- Store in freezer in meal size portions to prevent repeated thawing.

- 1-2 cloves garlic peeled
- 1 pc ginger 1" peeled.
- 4-6 pcs green chillies
- 1 pc onion medium
