Chamomile Tea Recipe | Chamomile Herbal Tea

Chamomile Tea is a herbal caffeine-free tea made from dried daisy like Chamomile flowers. It is a good alternative to black or green tea. Chamomile tea smells slightly like apple with a somewhat sweet flavour. It has health benefits.

Ingredients
  

  • 3 tsp Dried Chamomile Flowers
  • 3 cups Water
  • Honey
  • Lime juice a few drops
  • Slice of lime

Instructions
 

  • Firstly, take water in a pot and bring to boil.
  • As the water becomes hot , add chamomile tea.
  • Let it boil with water for a minute.
  • Then put off flame and cover the pot.
  • Furthermore, let tea steep for for 5-10 minutes.
  • Alternatively, you could first let the water come to a rolling boil. then add the tea and immediately put off flame. Cover and let the tea steep for ten minutes.
  • Strain and pour the tea in a cup.
  • Finally, add some honey if you wish. Also add some lime juice or a slice of lime

Notes

  • For iced tea, cool the tea to room temperature and then refrigerate tea. Alternatively, you can use tea bags.
  • Let the tea bags steep n hot water for 5 to 10 minutes.
  • Along with some lime juice , you could add mint leaves, a slice of apple, lime or raisins to Chamomile Tea.
  • You could make variations like Chamomile Cinnamon Tea, Chamomile and Lavender Tea, Chamomile Ginger Iced Tea or even Chamomile Honey & Lemongrass Tea
