Equipment

  • 1 OTG
  • 1 mixing bowl
  • 1 spatula

Ingredients
  

For Cake Sponge

  • 150 gm All purpose flour
  • 150 gm ground brown sugar OR refined sugar
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 1/4 cup milk at room temp. 60ml
  • 1/4 cup thick yoghurt at room temp. 60ml
  • 1/3 cup oil or melted butter I used oil
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence
  • 1/2 cup hot coffee 1/2 tsp coffee mixed with 1/2 cup hot Water

For Chocolate Ganache:

  • 2.5 oz fresh cream
  • 2.5 oz chocolate compound
  • 1/2 tsp butter
  • Nuts and chocolate chips for decoration.

Notes

  • All ingredients for cake sponge should be at room temperature.
  • Must sieve the flour.
  • Do not over bake the cake.
  • Cool the ganache before pouring over the cake.
