Ingredients for Coriander Masala Fish Curry

Fish – I used Nile perch variety available locally. You could use fillets of hammour, kingfish, rohu, pomfret or any variety. Recommend using fillets. Marinade it with salt, a bit of lime and turmeric powder for at least twenty minutes.
Garlic coriander masala – Fresh Homemade blend of coriander leaves, garlic, ginger,green chilies, onion
Tomato – chopped or puree
Green chilies– chopped if more is needed
Dry spices – salt (adjust as needed), turmeric powder, coriander powder,garam masala powder
Cooking oil
Water – as needed
How to make Green Masala Fish

1. Firstly, heat oil in a pan
2. Add the fresh coriander masala paste and saute it for two minutes.PRO TIP: Take care that the oil is not so hot to burn the masala.
3. Then add turmeric powder, salt and coriander powder. Sauté for a minute. You may add some chopped green chilies if desired.
4. Now add tomato puree and sauté till water dries. PRO TIP: Alternatively, you may use chopped tomatoes,
5. Then add the marinated fish pieces and sauté on medium flame.
6. When liquids dry, add some water
7. Sprinkle garam masala and let fish simmer till just done. PRO TIP: At this stage oil will float on top.
8. Serve hot with roti or rice.

- 300 gm fish 2 pieces
- 125 gm garlic coriander paste
- ½ cup tomato puree
- 1-2 green chilies chopped
- ½ tsp salt adjust as needed
- ¼ tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- ¼ tsp garam masala powder
- 3 tbsp oil
- Water as needed
Instructions
- Firstly, heat oil in a pan
