Ginger nut cookies are crunchy with a chewy centre, spiced with ginger, cinnamon cloves and nutmeg. They are easy and quick to make. The cookies have ginger as their main ingredient and their signature snap.
Difference between Ginger Biscuit and Gingerbread
Ginger biscuit is a hard biscuit while the gingerbread is thicker and a bit softer and more bread-like.
Ginger nut, gingernuts, ginger snap or ginger biscuit are biscuits flavored with ginger as the main ingredients. In Swedish these ginger nuts are known as pepparkakor , piparkūkas in Latvian, piparkakut in Finnish, and pepperkaker in Norwegian. These are rolled smooth and are usually much thinner and cut into different shapes and are crisper (in some cases, more strongly flavoured). Source: Wikipedia
