What’s so special about Til ka Laddoo
Til ke Laddu are round sweet delight made from dry roasted white sesame seeds, jaggery along with goodness of some nuts and flavorings. Generally made in winters, these sweet balls are rich in calcium , iron, healthy fats and antioxidants when eaten in moderation.
Ingredients for Til Gud Ladoo

- Jaggery – Grated
- Sesame seeds- use white sesame seeds. While dry roasting they turn light brown
- Peanuts -I used peanuts without skins. In case you are using with peels, then dry roast and remove peels before crushing coarsely
- Desiccated coconut- Use fresh stock
- Flavoring – crushed cardamom
- Ghee – for sheen and luster

How to make Sesame Jaggery Balls

- Firstly, dry roast sesame seeds till they turn slightly off white. Transfer to a plate to cool. PRO TIP: Take care that sesame seeds don’t turn dark, lest they will be bitter.
- Then dry roast peanuts till aromatic. Transfer to a plate to cool and coarsely grind. PRO TIP: Optional step but recommended
- Lightly dry roast desiccated coconut and remove on a plate to cool. PRO TIP: Take care not to burn coconut.
- Take ghee in a heavy bottom pan. Add jaggery and melt it on low flame.
- As jaggery melts, bubbles arise on the sides of pan. At this stage,add dry roasted sesame seeds, crushed cardamoms, crushed peanuts and a tablespoon of desiccated coconut.
- Mix everything very well.
- Now with quick hands make equal size balls dusting with some desiccated coconut.
- Leave aside to cool. Enjoy.
- Store in air tight containers.

- 70 gm sesame seeds white
- 15 gm peanuts
- 50 gm desiccated coconut
- ½ tsp cardamom crushed
- ½ tbsp ghee
